Olive Summer

I know, I know, it’s a terribly silly play on words, but I really do love summer. Especially weekends like this last one. A day off with friends on Friday with amazing lake weather, followed by an intense evening storm that all but eliminated any chance for humidity the rest of the weekend. That lead to wonderful mornings and breezy days, comfortable enough on Sunday to throw on this tunic and pants and take a little drive in the beautiful countryside. I purchased this tunic thinking that the color and style would be best in the early fall, but I love to sport a little olive hue after a few sun-kissed days.

Anthropologie tunic | Banana Republic pants (style sold out, similar here) | Ipa Nima handbag (purchased on a work trip in Viet Nam) | Tory Burch shoes (finally replaced my gold flats, which I wore until they fell apart!) | Seafolly hat (similar here and here) | Anthropologie earrings (old, similar here and love these) | Michael Kors watch | Kate Spade sunglasses and necklaces

Reality Check. This tunic was the only thing I grabbed when packing for the lake that would have been appropriate for photos. It wasn’t until I got to the cabin that I realized the forecast was for a record heat index reading on both Saturday and Sunday. Thank goodness for the huge swing in the weather! This outfit would have been a poor choice for a hot day, in a number of ways!
