Holiday Travel Day

Happy Thanksgiving! For travel to my mom and dad’s house yesterday, I took my usual approach – take as little as I can, in as few bags as I can. The building blocks for the holiday weekend are what you see here – basic black pants, black sweater, a little color in the accessories, a great overnight bag, and Sorel boots (we are always prepared for outdoor winter activities, though we rarely choose them over, say, watching a movie).

Reality Check. It’s true, what I state above (pack as little as I can, in as few bags as I can) is my usual approach (or perhaps better phrased as my “intent”). But somehow we always end up with a car packed to the gills with more stuff than you could think possible. Which is why I really do LOVE this Longchamp bag – it unzips to expand to about the height of my five-year-old.
