I had the last two weeks of the year off from work, and it wasn’t until the very last day of it that Trevor and I were able to take some time for a little daytime date (which was a goal for the full two weeks, but life kept getting in the way). I wore this cozy Boden tunic and full, warm scarf since it was pretty nice that afternoon, and we headed out for a late lunch at one of our favorite places and a brief walk around the lake.

We had friends over for dinner last night to celebrate New Year’s Eve and I all but forced them to wear sweat pants, asserting that even jeans would be too “dressed up” for the evening. So no, I did not wear this dress, but I absolutely would have had we hit the town. It’s very close to another Anthropologie dress I own (link here and prior post link here), but I love that one so much that I couldn’t resist getting this one as well despite the similarities in style.

A good hat is a great thing. I bought this hat because I’m a sucker for anything navy and yellow, but I’ve been surprised by how much use I’ve gotten out of it. I suppose it helps that I’m on a bit of a winter break, using up the remainder of my vacation time at the office. My days these last couple of weeks of the year are generally filled with running about town for errands, followed up by some quality time with friends and dates nights when possible. I don’t want to waste any of that productive and/or fun time dealing with my hair.
