Convertible Maxi

I’m a sucker for nautical stripes and easy dresses. With this convertible maxi, there is an added benefit of being able to change up the style in four ways. And at a price of around $30 (with an extra discount code this afternoon), it’s tough to pass up adding this to the summer rotation!

Patience

A few summers back Tory Burch had a great little embroidered dress that I loved but didn’t buy – partly because of the price point and partly based on the reviews that it was a bit sheer and therefore best used as a cover-up. The style returned for another recent season and I was again tempted but didn’t make the purchase. I saw this cute one the other day and loved it right away – mostly because it reminded me of the dress I had passed on a couple of times. This one has a similar summertime look but comes with a great lining that makes it hefty enough to wear for occasions off the lake. So, three years after I first spotted a little embroidered navy number, I finally added one to my wardrobe.

Sweet Potato Huevos

When I was pregnant with Taylor I craved Huevos Rancheros, and could have eaten it for every meal. That’s not too far off from how I feel about the dish even now, and I share this affinity for the spicy breakfast goodness with the rest of my family. This twist on the traditional dish offers a vegetarian and gluten free option. It’s a great choice for a brunch for a larger group because you can make a single portion rather than one entrée at a time, and you can prep a majority of it the night before serving.
