Sunsets

It’s no surprise that Grand Cayman showcases beautiful sunsets – pretty much every night. Given we had little ones with us our dinner time would often conflict with the timing of the sun going down, so on the evenings when we weren’t at a restaurant we would take full advantage of being on the beach for as long as possible. Trevor and I would love this time as it was so relaxing. With the temperature of the sand, the intensity of the sun, and the bustle of the beach traffic all having died down by this point in the day, the kids could play a bit more freely and we could sit together and soak it all in with a nice beverage in hand.

Colorful Shift

I wear so much black and gray during the long winter months in Minnesota, that when shopping for spring and summer (and in this case, vacation), I was drawn to lighter and brighter colors. I love the bold color and print of this dress, and that I can wear it to the office just as well as to the ocean.

Colorful Camo

We’ve had a fair amount of activity in the house lately that has focused on Ella’s new space, so I thought it would be good to do a few updates to Taylor’s room as well. Even at this young age, you can tell that kids keep track of this stuff! For a year or two Taylor has been loving the show Wild Kratts, and he continues to show a keen interest in animals, so I thought I would go that direction (somewhat selfishly, in an effort to keep the theme of his room from turning full on Star Wars for as long as possible). The animal in the project was intended to be abstract, but he immediately was thrilled that it was a cougar, so we’ll go with that! Materials and instructions for this easy and inexpensive project are below.
