Shirttail Solution

You may have read a past post a few weeks ago where I expressed frustration over loving the look of layering on top of a button-down shirt, but hating the feel. The perfect solution? When a dress does the layering for you, and eliminates the bulk. I love this dress in that it’s super comfortable (the top feels like a t-shirt) but still has a sense of polish to it, especially with the accompanying slip and the added length to the back.

Spring Greens

I’m not sure if it’s the weather or St. Patrick’s Day yesterday, but I was in the mood to prepare something green and fresh (well, as fresh as possible this time of year) for dinner. And even I need an alternative to Brussels sprouts every once in a while. I spotted this pretty vegetable dish out of the Good for You cookbook (link here) and modified it a bit for a light and delicious accompaniment to burgers on the grill. Sculpture Garden

We had a weekend free of birthday parties (which is rare at our kids’ ages, it seems), so we decided to spend a leisurely morning at the Minneapolis Sculpture Garden. Taylor and Ella used to go to a school nearby so they had the opportunity to visit often, but they haven’t been back since they’ve moved on to new schools. It was fun to see them explore the Garden and watch as certain parts of the grounds sparked their memories (including Tayor telling us that once he fell in the water when looking at the Spoonbridge and Cherry sculpture!).
