Shorts That Started It

My husband claims he started to fancy me the day he saw me stroll by him in the “student center” at college after tennis practice, wearing gray short shorts (presumably headed to the “caf” for a dinner of Lucky Charms). Those shorts are immediately what I thought of when I saw these. They’re cute, comfy, and yes, short. I love Lululemon for workout gear, but I generally don’t splurge on pieces worn outside of a yoga class or gym (I imagine I could find less expensive gray shorts elsewhere). But a gift card from my lovely friend in L.A. seemed to call for something outside of the capris and tanks I stink up on a regular basis.  DSC_1130_edited-2

Some things gotta give in this crazy life, such as sports that do not involve my kids, yet require advance planning (court time and presumably finding another player). If I have adult time away from the wee ones and need to make any sort of reservation, I would prefer to have a glass of wine in my hand, not a racquet.

Great post, Kerry! We sure would love to see you play at one of the Lifetime day or evening leagues. Lots of Ole alums and other MIAC alums are representing well. I’m currently in a Tuesday women’s singles league – great competition and really fun. PLUS I don’t have to arrange court time or find players. As you said – a bonus!

I think I would need some serious lessons before any sort of league! Sure would be great to see you though – thanks for the note – fun to hear from you!
