Daytime Date

I had the last two weeks of the year off from work, and it wasn’t until the very last day of it that Trevor and I were able to take some time for a little daytime date (which was a goal for the full two weeks, but life kept getting in the way). I wore this cozy Boden tunic and full, warm scarf since it was pretty nice that afternoon, and we headed out for a late lunch at one of our favorite places and a brief walk around the lake.

Reality Check. This was the second attempt at photos with this outfit (well, most of its components, anyway). A couple of weeks ago I had paired the top and pants with a dark navy scarf, reddish heels and dark sunglasses. It looked terrible. Truly, I’m not sure what I was thinking. Evidence below (the dirty snow plow tracks were a nice touch).

aHH, Love that bag! I think day dates are sometimes even more special than night time dates, especially if you’re able to cook dinner together afterwards.

Thanks Katie! The bag was a very generous gift from a very generous friend, and I too love it. (; And I LOVE day dates. We don’t have to fight the crowds, we’re not taking away from home/kid time, no need to find a sitter and perhaps the best reason – we’re not fighting off the urge to just go to sleep – we’re pretty tired pups at night!
